Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger/ Finishers and laborers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces across various construction projects. Your expertise will help create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and schematics
- Finish drywall joints with taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve a seamless surface
- Repair damaged drywall or plaster surfaces with precision and attention to detail
- Install additional components such as trims, moldings, and fixtures to enhance the finished look of walls and ceilings
- Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow on construction sites
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris regularly during projects
Skills
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and finishing processes including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently
- Experience with related skills such as plastering, trim carpentry and caulking is preferred
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with diverse trades like masonry, framing (metal stud framing), plumbing (including water damage restoration), remodeling, and restoration industry practices
- Skilled in fixture installation including doors, hardware, and other interior components preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools (such as airless paint sprayers), and measuring devices accurately
- Knowledge of safety protocols specific to construction sites to ensure a secure working environment
