Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Huntersville is locally owned and operated and excited to serve the pets and pet parents in the Lake Norman community with top quality products and exceptional, appointment-based, spa-style grooming services. We are looking for a hard working groomer with a positive work ethic who values our love for dogs and the community. Our team firmly believes in having fun at work and keeping a healthy, energetic atmosphere!
Dog Groomer Responsibilities:
* Communicating effectively with pet owners at check in to understand their preferences and requests.
* Bathing and grooming dogs of various sizes and temperaments using appropriate shampoos and grooming techniques.
*Trimming and dremeling nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears in a safe manner.
*Drying, brushing, and dematting dogs effectively.
* Identifying health issues such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay and communicating those issues to the pet owner.
* Educating customers and recommending suitable products.
* Cleaning and disinfecting your grooming station, tools, tubs, and holding pens between pets and at the end of each shift.
* Ensuring a safe grooming process and work environment at all times.
* Using our booking system to document services and maintain up-to-date notes and records.
Dog Groomer Qualifications and Skills:
* 2+ years of grooming experience with formal training certification or experience under an established groomer.
* Knowledge of dog handling techniques and safety.
* Strong customer service/communication skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Willingness to handle dogs with care and compassion.
* Must be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
We require portfolio photos of past work before scheduling an interview. After submission of pictures, an in-person interview will be arranged, which will be followed by a paid working interview.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $250.00 – $350.00 per day
