As our portfolio continues to expand locally and internationally, we are seeking a Document Controller to join our team in Libya. This role is key to ensuring the smooth coordination of our Benghazi, Libya-based projects.
Role purpose
As Document Controller, you will ensure the accurate management, control and distribution of project documentation across multiple projects. You will act as a central coordination point for information flow, supporting teams, clients and contractors through structured document control processes and systems.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation, filing systems and archiving processes to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Control and coordinate documentation issued for review, approval and construction within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Oversee the distribution of technical documents and official correspondence between project teams, clients, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Manage and administer the company’s document control software, ensuring version control and proper record tracking.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless information exchange across disciplines.
- Record and distribute meeting minutes in a timely and structured manner.
What you bring
- Several years’ experience in document control within a construction or engineering environment, preferably on complex or large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in ASITE and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera, MS Project, BIM or AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with a meticulous approach to document accuracy and version control.
- Ability to work under pressure within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
