Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Distribution Manager, located in Cape Town. The Distribution Manager will oversee and optimize distribution operations, manage logistical processes, and ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities include developing and enforcing distribution schedules, supervising distribution staff, coordinating with suppliers and clients, and monitoring inventory levels to meet customer demands. The role also involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in all distribution activities.
Qualifications
- Strong logistics, supply chain management, and distribution planning skills
- Experience in inventory management and stock control
- Operational management and team leadership capabilities
- Proficiency in systems/software for logistics or inventory management
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control practices
- Relevant experience in the food distribution or hospitality sector is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
