Duties
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly using proper cleaning techniques to meet food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure a hygienic workspace
- Support the culinary team by organizing supplies and ensuring all necessary tools are sanitized and available for cooking and serving
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in meal preparation by setting up ingredients and helping with plating or portioning under supervision
- Help with catering setups or special event food prep as needed to support various service occasions
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Background in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry provides a strong foundation for success in this role
- Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and basic culinary techniques enhances your ability to contribute effectively
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper knife skills are valuable assets
- Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates attention to detail and efficiency in meal prep is preferred
- Experience with catering or serving can be beneficial in supporting diverse food service needs
