OWWC builds and maintains wireless infrastructure nationwide. We are based in Shakopee, MN, with additional locations in Denver, CO and Basehor, KS.
OWWC is looking for a reliable Directional Drill Operator to help support underground work at cell phone tower sites.
Expect to travel out of town Monday through Friday most weeks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run a bore machine (Vermeer D10x15 S3) t at active and new cell site projects
- Install conduit for fiber, power, and telecom lines
- Follow utility locates, bore plans, and site drawings
- Monitor bore paths and changing ground conditions
- Perform basic maintenance and daily equipment inspections
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of directional drilling experience (telecom preferred)
- Previous cell site experience is a strong plus
- Ability to read locates and construction plans independently
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot in the field
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and DOT physical
- Willing to travel during the week
- Ability to report weekly to our Shakopee, MN location on a weekly basis
