Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Jobs in Blackheath at SHTL
We are looking for motivated person who is: (5 day work week)
- Do vehicle inspections as trucks come into the yard
- Identify all mechanical and structural issues with diesel trucks and lowbeds
- Complete a fault report document
- Set up Job cards per item being services and complete as work is done
- Clearly explain to management, suppliers, drivers what is needed to fix issue/s
- Applying his skills and fix problems
- Talk to drivers’ whist they are on the road and provide telephonic support, as needed
- Communicate to office on stock needed to fix problems
- Plan ahead for services and items needed for such services
- Phone suppliers for prices, get quotes via emails
- Analyse, plan and execute with good work ethic and excellent time keeping.
- Potential to lead and drive and grow without direct supervision
- Drivers licence would be an advantage as may be required to go out and do on-road-assistance (seldom)
Pay: From R1 500,00 per week
