Diesel & hydraulics technician / Forestry Technical support Technician Jobs in Howick at Green Projects
Experience/ Duties & Responsibilities – Minimum qualification and experience / skills required:
Must have Grade 12 & N5 or higher and possess a Diesel Mechanic trade test certificate, experience in hydraulic systems & basic electrics is highly advantageous.
Must have at least 2 years post trade experience in Hydraulics, heavy construction earthmoving or Forestry industry with good electrical knowledge and experience being advantageous.
Must have worked on Forestry /earthmoving & heavy equipment.
Computer literacy is also a standard requirement, with Microsoft Windows, Excel & Word proficiency.
Must be prepared to work overtime and standby duties when required.
Key Performance areas:
Conduct servicing according to manufacturer specifications and Product specific service requirement lists. Accurately diagnose faults found and reported on a vehicle (troubleshooting).
Carryout servicing and repairs to equipment according to planned schedules, in an efficient manner to ensure smooth running.
Ensure workshop quality, safety and security procedures are adhered to at all times
Report any machine faults other than those on the job card / service.
Work accurately and timorously to achieve both efficiency and productivity to the required standards.
Conduct tests on repaired machines.
Complete electronic job cards onsite for fast reporting
Note: Salary May be offered/ up to a figure based on , total cost to company. However the salary offered will be linked to Qualifications & Experience plus Abilities.
