About The Job
- The Design Engineer (HVAC) is responsible for the design, sizing, and optimization of VRF and DX air-conditioning systems.
- The role involves preparing technical proposals, performing cooling load calculations, and supporting project teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective HVAC solutions.
Responsibilities
- 1. HVAC System Design and Sizing
- Design and select VRF and DX HVAC systems based on project requirements
- Ensure compliance of designs with applicable technical standards
- Optimize systems to ensure performance and energy efficiency
- 2. Technical Studies and Calculations
- Perform cooling load calculations and thermal assessments
- Analyze project technical requirements
- Propose optimized and suitable technical solutions
- 3. Technical Documentation and Deliverables
- Prepare technical proposals and tender documents
- Develop HVAC drawings using AutoCAD
- Carry out equipment selection using HVAC selection software
- 4. Project Support
- Provide technical support to project teams during tendering, execution, and commissioning phases
- Participate in technical meetings with internal teams, clients, and partners
- 5. Coordination and Compliance
- Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ensure technical specifications compliance with project requirements
- Ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in HVAC system design
- Strong experience with VRF and commercial air-conditioning systems
- Solid knowledge of HVAC thermal load calculations and system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with HVAC selection software
- Good understanding of HVAC technical standards
- Strong analytical and system optimization skills
- Strong technical and analytical thinking
