Key Responsibilities
Forecast Development & Optimization
- Develop 12-to-18-month rolling demand forecasts at SKU and location levels.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, seasonality, and shelf-life constraints.
- Utilize statistical forecasting tools to build baseline demand models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (S&OP)
- Lead the monthly Demand Review meetings with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Challenge sales forecasts using data, promotional history, and market intelligence.
- Translate marketing promotional plans and new product launches (NPI) into demand volumes.
- Collaborate daily with Supply Planning to align demand forecasts with factory capacity and raw material availability.
Performance Management
- Measure, analyze, and report Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias metrics.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on significant forecast variances and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory health, identifying risks of aging stock, slow-moving items, or impending expiry.
