Join our dynamic construction team as a Deck Builder and bring outdoor living visions to life! In this role, you will be responsible for constructing durable, high-quality decks that enhance the beauty and functionality of properties. Your expertise in setting footings, carpentry, and finishing, will ensure each project meets our high standards of craftsmanship and safety. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute deck designs.
- Construct wooden frameworks with footings and support structures essential for deck and stair stability.
- Execute quality framing carpentry, wood working knowledge, trim carpentry, siding knowledge for ledger installation, and roofing for covered structures, utilizing these skills to create durable decks and covered structures.
- Railing construction
- Operate power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently during all phases of construction.
- (Perform masonry work such as brick or stone accents if required by project specifications.)
- Manage construction site cleanlieness, as well as activities including heavy lifting, material handling, and maintaining safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to schematics and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on deck building or related carpentry roles.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience operating power tools such as saws, drills, grinders along with heavy equipment operation when needed.
- Knowledge of construction management principles to coordinate tasks efficiently on-site.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail.
