🎯 The Mission
As our next Data Engineer based in Bouskoura, you will play a central role in building and scaling our global Data Lake infrastructure. You'll work under local hierarchical management at FRAENKISCHE INDUSTRIAL PIPES MAROC, while functionally reporting to FRAENKISCHE INDUSTRIAL PIPES in Germany. Your mission: consolidate our data landscape, ensure data quality across sites, and empower business teams with reliable, accessible data.
💼 What You'll Do
Data Lake Infrastructure
- Expand and maintain the data lake infrastructure, including installing new components and ensuring smooth operations
- Optimize and adapt the data lake to new technologies and evolving business requirements
- Analyze and resolve technical issues, and continuously optimize systems to prevent errors
Data Integration & Consolidation
- Consolidate isolated data sources into a central platform to improve cross-site data availability
- Integrate new data sources into the data lake using modern ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools
- Support the maintenance and management of various databases and storage locations
Data Governance & Collaboration
- Build and manage a global data catalog to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility
- Collaborate closely with business departments to analyze and implement data requirements
- Contribute to a strong documentation culture across the Group
✅ What We're Looking For
- Completed Bachelor's degree in (Business) Informatics / Computer Science or a comparable field
- Knowledge of methods and process models in software development is desirable
- Strong analytical mindset with great attention to detail
- High level of solution-oriented problem solving
- Very good English skills, spoken and written (working language with German HQ)
- French & Arabic are strong assets; German is a plus

- Data processing / ETL: Azure Data Factory (preferred), Snowflake, Apache Airflow, AWS Glue
- Database management: maintenance and administration of various databases and storage locations
- IDE: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code
- Source code management: Git
- Cloud & Platforms: Azure Cloud, Databricks
- Nice to have: Python, SSIS, Azure Key Vault, Azure Deployment Pipelines for Azure Data Factory, Power BI
