Your Mission :
You will be the owner of all data workstreams in a high-stakes, multi-country core wallet transformation — from data architecture to migration, governance, protection, and analytics. Every customer balance, KYC record, and GL posting must move from legacy to new platform with absolute integrity. That's your accountability.
What You'll Own :
- Current & target-state data architecture (conceptual, logical, physical models, data lineage)
- End-to-end data migration strategy and execution (profiling, ETL/ELT, reconciliation, cutover, rollback)
- Data quality & governance framework across OPCOs
- Data protection, backup & DR standards for financial data across African markets
- Analytics & BI layer on the new platform — regulatory reports, dashboards, reconciliation outputs
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or data delivery
- 3+ years in fintech, mobile money, or digital banking
- Proven ownership of data migration on a core wallet or core banking platform
- Hands-on with ETL/ELT tooling (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Airflow or equivalent)
- Strong SQL, cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure), BI tooling (Power BI / Tableau / Qlik)
- Experience with AML/KYC, PCI DSS, central bank reporting requirements
- African market experience is a strong advantage
- English required; French is a plus
