iSolvents is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customs & Excise Logistics Coordinator to manage the administration and compliance processes relating to the movement, repackaging, export, and delivery of various solvents and industry-related products across Southern and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all product movements and supporting documentation comply with SARS Customs & Excise regulations and internal company controls, minimizing operational and financial risk to the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage customs, excise, and export documentation for shipments
• Verify and reconcile tanker and shipment documentation and product movement records
• Coordinate logistics documentation between suppliers, warehouse operations, transporters, clearing agents, and customers
• Ensure complete and compliant document packs prior to dispatch
• Track export shipments and ensure proof-of-delivery documentation is received and filed
• Maintain accurate records and audit-ready filing systems
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, missing documentation, or compliance risks
• Support continuous improvement of administrative and compliance processes
• Ensure traceability and compliance throughout the movement of bonded cargo and regulated products
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma or certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Import/Export, Freight Forwarding, or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in logistics administration, customs & excise, export coordination, bonded warehousing, or freight forwarding
• Experience with SARS Customs & Excise procedures advantageous
• Experience working with bonded cargo advantageous
• Experience in cross-border African exports advantageous
• Experience in the chemical, fuel, alcohol, solvent, or related industries advantageous
• Understanding of regulated product movements and supporting compliance documentation advantageous
• Strong administrative and document control skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
