Working Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Sandton Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:

The role of a Care Life Associate is to deliver a high standard of customer service on Phones and Written channels while obtaining the necessary claim documentation required to make a claim decision. It involves managing workload effectively to ensure that the necessary turnaround times are met. You will ensure that clients and appropriate third party's are updated on the status of their claims throughout the process and offer proactive to support to the throughout the claims journey.

Key Actions

High standard of Phone and Written service delivery with clients, including doctors, claimant, financial advisors, solicitors etc. review the initial claims requirements and supporting the claims process throughout

  • Setting up of payment of benefit or medical report payments.
  • Notification to Re-assurers regarding details of the claims.
  • Administration of unemployment claims for waiver of premium.
  • Administration and preparation of relevant documentation for claims.
  • Referral of claim to management, forensics, chief medical officer for input.
  • Capture and report on claims statistics.

What do you need to thrive?

  • Secondary Education is essential
  • 1 year client services experience within the life insurance industry is essential.
  • 2 years prior experience within a UK Insurance environment is advantageous.
  • An intermediate understanding of long term Insurance in a UK environment
  • An intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Long term claims experience in and administration function.
