Minimum Requirements

– Minimum education qualification of Grade 12 or a National Certificate equivalent. – Basic computer literacy skills to manage stock systems and complete necessary documentation. – Proven ability to work flexibly across different shifts, demonstrating reliability and time management. – Previous experience in a retail or food handling environment is preferred but not mandatory. – Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. – Attention to detail for accurate stock replenishment, product rotation, and quality checks. – Adherence to hygiene standards and cold chain maintenance protocols. – Ability to identify and report irregularities such as shrinkage, quality concerns, and suspicious activities. – Team player who contributes to a clean, safe, and well-organized workplace environment. – Commitment to personal leadership, including punctuality, dress code compliance, and participation in team meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly, helpful attitude to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Manage stock replenishment by implementing accurate stock rotation and maintaining full, visually appealing shelves.
• Maintain hygiene standards and cold chain protocols when handling and displaying food products.
• Identify and report quality concerns, product sell-outs, shrinkage, and any suspicious activities promptly.
• Support shop-keeping disciplines by adhering to planograms, shelf labeling, and maintaining a clean and organized department.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and communicate benefits or promotions effectively to customers.
• Apply personal leadership by observing punctuality, dress codes, and participating actively in team meetings.
• Work flexibly across different shifts, contributing effectively as a reliable team player.
• Assist with documentation and stock system management using basic computer skills.
