Job Title: Cupcake Decorator (Full-Time: 30 to 40 hours per week)

Pay: Starting at $18/hour (up to $22/hour with experience)
About Us: Concord Teacakes is a beloved bakery that has been serving the community since 1984. Recently purchased by two longtime employees, we are a passionate, hardworking team of bakers and decorators who take pride in our craft. We specialize in beautifully decorated shortbread cookies, classic baked goods, and seasonal favorites.
Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Cupcake Decorator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on baking, detailed decorating, and working in a fast-paced bakery environment. Experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Decorate cupcakes using buttercream icing, following our recipes and techniques
- Baking various mousse fillings and toppings for different flavored cupcakes
- Creating flower designs using buttercream
- Mix big batches of icing from scratch using a 60-quart stand mixer
- Package cupcakes for the storefront, custom orders, and wholesale orders
- Assemble and prepare orders for wholesale and individual customers
- Bringing fully decorated cupcakes, cakes and baked goods to the storefront as needed
- Assist with other baking and decorating tasks as needed, especially during busy seasons (e.g., topping pies, dipping brownies in chocolate, packaging baked goods)
- Take inventory of ingredients (such as sprinkles) and packaging supplies
- Ensure all tools, equipment, workstations, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Help unload deliveries when needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in cake or cupcake decorating or baking is required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and decorating standards
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work more or fewer hours depending on the season (November–December is very busy; January is slower)
