SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Atlantis, Cape Town. The successful candidate will have between 3 to 5 years’ experience in credit control and a strong ability to manage customer accounts, minimize risk, and ensure timely collections. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
POSITION INFO:
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the full debtors’ book
- Ensure the timely collection of outstanding accounts
- Perform customer account reconciliations
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements
- Monitor credit limits and assess credit risk
- Follow up on overdue accounts and implement collection procedures
- Resolve customer queries efficiently
- Prepare age analysis reports and provide feedback to management
- Assist with month-end reporting and audits
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Credit Controller role
- Strong understanding of credit control procedures and risk management
- Experience working on accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Pastel, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
