Country Sales Manager – Zambia
Linum Consult's client is an international firm well established in Africa. They are looking for a Country Sales Manager to drive profitable growth in heavy equipment sales by strategically managing customer portfolios and expanding market share within their Zambian operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Based in Kitwe, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the prospection of the designated market in collaboration with local sales teams
- Developing the client portfolio and exploring new business prospects with existing customers
- Maintaining and enhancing customer care strategy by driving the sales & marketing strategies defined for each business unit
- Achieving and maximising market share, profitability, and revenue growth targets through KPI achievement
- Strengthening product expertise by keeping up to date knowledge of manufacturers’ equipment in order to respond effectively to customers’ needs
- Preparing reports on the status of customers and their activities, and rolling forecasts of sales
- Fostering close collaboration with operations to take decisive action and supporting team decision-making as required
PROFILE
- University degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience
- Around 15-20 years’ experience in a similar role within the heavy equipment industry working with mining and construction clients
- Experience in Africa is essential, with a demonstrable background of working for international companies
- Excellent understanding of finance principles, financing solutions & incoterms
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to take the initiative and make proactive decisions
- The candidate must be fluent in English, with any French language skills a bonus
