We are seeking a highly strategic, dynamic, and tech-passionate Country Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives and brand presence across South Africa. In this role, you will be the driving force behind translating our global brand promise into high-impact local strategies.
About the Role
You will oversee the end-to-end marketing portfolio for our consumer systems (including premium, mainstream, and creator portfolios) as well as our industry-leading gaming ecosystem. The ideal candidate blends deep analytical capabilities with creative storytelling, possesses a strong understanding of the South African retail and digital landscapes, and is comfortable driving top-of-funnel brand awareness and mid-funnel demand generation to feed both physical retail and digital channels.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive, localized marketing strategies and product launch plans aligned with global product roadmaps and local business growth objectives.
- Formulate localized value propositions and messaging frameworks that resonate with local consumers, creators, and gaming audiences.
- Lead the local launch execution of next-generation hardware portfolios, ensuring prominent physical and digital shelf space, impactful PR coverage, and commercial alignment.
Digital Marketing & Demand Generation
- Paid Media Strategy: Own the strategic direction and execution of local performance marketing and paid media campaigns (Search, Social, and Programmatic) to drive product awareness, consideration, and high-intent traffic to retail partner channels.
- Social & Content Marketing: Direct the content strategy for local brand social media handles, ensuring a consistent publishing cadence, hyper-local relevance, and high engagement rates.
- Campaign Analytics: Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and agency dashboards to track key metrics (CPC, CPL, engagement rates, and brand lift), consistently optimizing campaigns for maximum Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the internal E-commerce Manager to ensure top-of-funnel digital marketing campaigns align with and support direct-to-consumer online business objectives.
Channel & Retail Marketing
- Collaborate closely with local Product Managers, Sales teams, and tier-1 retail and distribution partners to design and execute integrated co-promotional marketing plans.
- Oversee brand consistency at the physical retail level, managing point-of-sale (POS) materials, in-store branding, and training frameworks for retail floor partners.
- Collaborate with retail partners to optimize our digital footprint on their respective e-tail platforms through premium rich media content, optimized search visibility, and strategic banner placements.
Brand, PR, & Community Engagement
- Direct local Public Relations, influencer marketing, and social media communication frameworks to secure earned media and maximize product exposure.
- Actively nurture and grow the local community segments, including tech enthusiasts and gaming audiences, through targeted community initiatives, tournaments, and experiential activations.
- Coordinate high-end product launch events, media tours, and experiential consumer activations from structural conceptualization through execution.
Budget & Performance Management
- Direct and optimize the country marketing budget, ensuring strategic resource allocation across digital, physical retail, and experiential channels to maximize Return on Investment (ROI).
- Establish, monitor, and report on key marketing performance indicators (KPIs), delivering structured data-driven insights and post-campaign analysis to regional leadership and global headquarters.
- Manage operational compliance, vendor procurement, Purchase Order (PO) processing, and accrual reconciliations alongside the local finance team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive marketing management experience, with a strong background in running multi-channel digital campaigns within the Consumer Electronics, PC Hardware, or Tech FMCG industries in South Africa.
- Market Knowledge: Proven track record of managing relationships with South African technology retail giants and major local distribution channels.
- Industry Expertise: A deep, intrinsic understanding of the PC market, consumer technology hardware specifications, and the local gaming/lifestyle ecosystem.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong experience managing internal marketing professionals, digital agencies, and third-party vendors. Must possess flawless English verbal and written communication skills.

- Problem Solving: Exceptionally organized, capable of multitasking under pressure, and maintaining high precision with tight launch deadlines.
