We’re building a network of Lead Scouts across Africa to help us identify customers, qualify opportunities, and coordinate plug-and-play deployments of ARED Edge boxes with local install partners.
If you have strong local relationships and you can open doors fast, this role is for you.
Role Summary
As an ARED Lead Scout, you will:
- Find and qualify customers who need reliable local compute/connectivity (SMEs, institutions, ISPs, enterprise sites, government programs, integrators)
- Set meetings and drive proposals with our team
- Coordinate deployment logistics (plug-and-play) by either:
- becoming an install partner yourself or
- sourcing and managing a vetted local install partner
This is a high-impact role for someone who can build trust, move fast, and deliver clean, verifiable results.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
1) Lead generation & outreach
- Identify target accounts and decision makers in your territory
- Use your network to secure introductions and meetings
- Build a simple pipeline weekly (leads → qualified → proposal → closed)
2) Qualification (must be disciplined)
You will qualify each lead using a simple checklist:
- Who owns the decision?
- What problem are they facing (downtime, cost, connectivity, data, local hosting)?
- Is there budget (or a path to budget)?
- Timeline and urgency
- How many sites / boxes (even if starting with one)
- Basic site environment (power/internet availability, existing network)
3) Deal coordination
- Work with ARED to schedule demos, site visits, and proposals
- Collect required information (photos, address, site contact, constraints)
- Support contract closure and procurement steps
4) Deployment coordination (plug-and-play)
- Ensure the box arrives at the customer site
- Coordinate installation with a local installer (or yourself if certified)
- Confirm go-live using ARED acceptance checklist (photos + quick health report)
5) After go-live follow-up
- Check customer satisfaction in the first 7–30 days
- Identify expansion opportunities (additional boxes, referrals, more sites)
