Role Description The Cost Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for overseeing and optimizing cost structures across Stellar House EG’s restaurant operations. This role includes preparing, monitoring, and analyzing cost reports, budgets, and forecasts to support informed decision-making and profitability targets. The Cost Controller will track food, beverage, and operational costs, identify variances, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions to operations and finance teams. Daily tasks include reviewing purchase orders and inventory movements, validating consumption data, and ensuring adherence to cost control procedures and company policies. The role will collaborate closely with finance, procurement, and operations to implement cost-saving initiatives, maintain accurate cost records, and support internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Strong cost control and cost management skills, with experience implementing and monitoring cost-saving measures in a multi-outlet or hospitality environment.
- Proficiency in cost accounting and finance principles, including budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP or restaurant management systems, inventory control tools, and advanced Excel or similar analytical software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA) are an advantage.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and finance teams.
- Previous experience in the food and beverage, hospitality, or retail sector is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in Giza and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
