POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cook will prepare food, including hot entrees, to specifications in an accurate and timely manner to provide guests with a quality product.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Provide safe and wholesome food for our guests.
- Prepares food according to standard recipes and specifications.
- Comply with Indian Health Service (IHS), Wisconsin Health Code, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations pertaining to food service center’s health and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure a sanitary and organized work area.
- Ensure proper care, storage, use and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all foods.
- Prevent cross-contamination at all times.
- Maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
- Safeguarding of casino assets.
- All other duties as assigned.
UNIFORM:
· Clean professional attire (when applicable casino issued attire).
· Sokaogon Gaming Commission (SGC) issued Gaming License/ID Badge.
· Hair (including beards) must be completely covered by the use of a hair net or cap.
· Use of gloves whenever applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.
· Must submit to and pass a drug and alcohol test per Sokaogon Gaming Enterprise Corporation (SGEC) Drug and Alcohol Policy.
· Must pass a Background Investigation.
· Ability to understand and respond to written order and recipes.
· Physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
· Ability to correctly lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
· Ability to work flexible time periods as required.
· Ability to portion, prepare and present meat, poultry and fish entrees, pastas, and vegetables.
· Ability to use knives, other hand-held instruments and other food preparation equipment.
· Successfully completed a 60-day probationary period.
· Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
· Must be able to interact well with the public and co-workers.
· Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
