Job Description:
- Review and Follow-up of workflow, ensuring smooth and seamless review and issuance workflow for assigned agreements.
- Adequate tracking of contract requests and deviations therefrom.
- Contract Pre-Award and Management Review of bidders’ queries and preparation of tender clarifications/bulletins.
- Assessment of tender offers contractually and assistance in preparing contract assessment reports.
- Responsible for the drafting, tailoring, reviewing and negotiations of construction contracts, design contracts, consultancy service agreements and others.
- Negotiation of contractual qualifications and conditions of contracts.
- Prepare, negotiate, execute, and administer company’s technical and corporate contracts.
- Preparation and review of commercial agreements related to operators.
- Follow up on the contracts’ signature process.
- Assess the risks associated with various contracts and propose risk mitigation strategies
- Assuring compliance with the legal framework, governance framework, organizational policies, procedures and subsequent delegations.
- Developing and maintaining all contracts’ logs and records.
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as may be needed.
- Assist in the enhancement of the department’s standardized forms and procedures.
- Review claim settlements to ensure compliance with established contractual terms, company procedures and corporate governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in contracts drafting and administration.
- Preferably have previous knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
- Good knowledge of the Egyptian Civil Code and other laws and legislations of Egypt and have had sufficient experience dealing with them.
- Preferably have recognized contract management, civil code and commercial code-related courses.
- Attended contract formation and legal drafting courses.
- Has claims and dispute resolution experience.
- Possess sufficient experience and be acquainted with corporate governance mechanisms.
- Must have excellent writing skills, especially business writing and punctuation.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- MUST be proficient in both English and Arabic languages.
- MUST be proficient in using Word, PowerPoint and EXCEL.
