Super Sport Bet is recruiting a Content and Social Media Manager to join the marketing team in Cape Town. The key outcome of the role will be to own and lead the content and organic social media strategy and implementation plan across owned social media channels in both SA and Zambia. The role will be tasked with focusing on top of funnel brand reach, visibility, engagement, sentiment measures and driving organic traffic to the website.
Core aim of the role: Build sustained brand visibility and audience engagement through relevant, high-quality content that strengthens brand presence and drives organic demand.
Requirements
- The role requires high levels of functional experience in both content creation and amplification into owned social media channels and must demonstrate a proactive and creative approach to content generation across pillars and channels, driven by trends and insights.
- 3 to 6 years – experience in a similar role.
- Category experience is an advantage, but experience across telecoms | Ecommerce categories will be considered
- Must demonstrate a mix of strategic and execution experience.
- Must demonstrate experience and excellent competency of social media channels ad accounts.
- Must demonstrate equal mix of experience and competency across content creation and social media channel mechanics and analytics.
- Expertise in brand storytelling and the ability to craft compelling, on-brand narratives across social platforms including the ability to create own visuals using tools such as Canva
- Demonstrated experience of prioritizing and planning campaigns in advance.
- Must be excellent user of social media tools such as Sprout | Brandwatch
- Competency in using project management tools such as Click Up | Trello | Asana is required
- Google Analytics competency is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated experience retaining agile behaviours while still introducing functional maturity
Key Deliverables
- Content Creation strategy and Monthly content calendar
- Create and oversee the content creation strategy and execution across content pillars
- Create a content ecosystem and manage a range of resources including internal, agency and content collaborators.
- Working closely with the rest of marketing, own the content calendar including alignment to key sporting fixtures, brand campaigns and other brand activity. Ensure that this calendar is highly visible and aligned with the rest of the business
- Work cross functionally with design resources to implement content visuals
- Work closely with web and SEO functions to ensure content supports organic website traffic
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the brand identity, tone of voice, and values, and ability to maintain these consistently across all content and social media activities.
Social Media Channel Execution
- Define social media channels relevant to content, platform and audience
- Ensure that these channels represent the brand and are relevant to audience
- Ensure that social media channels are optimized to deliver traffic to website. Use all available tools to improve customer experience between social media and website
- Manage the team to publish all content across relevant platforms, on time and in full including relevant links
- Work closely with the community management team to ensure that all customers asking for help via DM’s and on-page messages are directed to the right channels to assist them
- Work closely with the paid media to integrate organic and paid media efforts across platforms to optimize ad performance
- Implement brand paid media campaigns as needed
