Job Purpose
Sharm Dreams Group is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead and oversee concrete construction activities across major projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project execution from planning through completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Site Preparation
- Review and interpret structural and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Oversee site readiness, including subgrade preparation, formwork, reinforcement, and embedded services prior to concrete placement.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure all pre-pour requirements are completed.
Concrete Construction Management
- Supervise all concrete works, including batching, placement, pumping, consolidation, and finishing activities.
- Ensure concrete mix designs, workmanship, and construction methods comply with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Monitor construction progress and resolve technical and operational issues to maintain project schedules.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout project execution.
- Oversee material testing, including slump tests, concrete sampling, and compressive strength testing.
- Inspect completed works, identify defects, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Resource & Team Management
- Manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labor teams to ensure efficient project execution.
- Plan workforce allocation, monitor productivity, and coordinate the procurement of construction materials and equipment.
- Ensure effective communication between all project stakeholders.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure the safe operation of construction equipment and adherence to approved work methods.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project schedules, costs, and resource utilization.
- Prepare progress reports, quality reports, and project updates for senior management.
- Support project close-out activities, documentation, and final handover.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in civil construction projects, with extensive experience in concrete works and site management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality management systems, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
