CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (HAY BAND – O)

Job Advert Summary

Responsible for managing all aspects related to infrastructure construction and rehabilitation for all projects executed by the Construction Services department of Rand Water.

Minimum Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in the Built Environment field of study (NQF L7)
Certificate / Diploma in Project Management (NQF L6)
Desired Qualification:
Registration with SACPMP as a Professional Construction Manager
Minimum Experience
5 years experience in Construction Supervisory Management
3 years experience in the water infrastructure construction

Primary Duties

Develop, implement and manage a construction execution plan for projects
Plan and manage the assignment of different resources including construction teams, support specialists, contractors and other service providers to construction activities.
Monitor construction performance to ensure that the work is delivered within schedule, within costs and at the desired quality.
Review and approve performance reports for construction activities.
Consolidate and distribute internal and external reports pertaining to project status.
Monitor identified risks and direct mitigation efforts.
