Construction Laborer – Well Installation and Support Jobs in Waverly, GA at Golden Isles Well Drilling
Job description:
*Assist in all aspects of installing a water well (moving equipment, set up, installing well & tear down)
* Assist in all aspects of installing related equipment: well pump tank, water treatment, etc.
* Operate a John Deere 110 tractor with a backhoe and front end bucket to dig holes and cover holes
*Fast paced work environment at times
*Job requires bending, very heavy lifting such as lifting 94 lbs. bags of cement & other heavy tools
*Using various tools like shovels & large pipe wrenches daily
* Dig ditches or trenches, back fill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
* Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials. ( accurately guide driver to back up drill rig to mark drilling stake)
* Knowledge sets include: drilling, trenching, backhoe operation.
*Drive a Large dual tire truck with service body with a trailer & backhoe attached. (DOT medical card required)
Other helpful skills but not necessary skills : any previous experience operating heavy equipment (such as logging, backhoe, excavator)
Job requirements (read these)
* Applicants must have at least a High school diploma or equivalent
* Applicants must have at least 1 years experience
* Applicants must be at least 21
* Applicant must have transportation to and from work
* Applicant must be able to do very HEAVY lifting like a bag of cement (normally 94lbs)
* Applicant Must have at least a valid Driver License (clean MVR), prefer CDL Class B
