About the Role:
WP Davis Excavation is hiring a full-time Construction Laborer / Excavation Helper for an active project in the Whiting, ME area.
This position is best suited for someone with prior construction, excavation, site work, utility, landscaping, roadwork, concrete, or similar hands-on labor experience. The right person should be dependable, physically capable, safety-minded, and able to work as part of a crew on an active job site.
This is outdoor construction work involving physical labor, material handling, site cleanup, assisting operators, and supporting daily excavation/site work tasks. Candidates should be comfortable working in changing weather conditions and should be able to show up consistently and ready to work.

Responsibilities:
- Assist excavation crews and equipment operators on an active job site
- Perform general labor, site cleanup, and material handling
- Load, unload, carry, and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Use hand tools and small equipment as needed
- Follow directions from the foreman, superintendent, and equipment operators
- Support trenching, grading, pipe work, drainage, site prep, and other excavation-related tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation to the Whiting, ME area
- Comfortable with outdoor physical work in changing weather
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs as needed
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a crew
- Willingness to follow safety rules and job-site procedures
- Ability to take direction and stay productive throughout the workday
Preferred Experience:
- Excavation or site work experience
- Experience working around heavy equipment
- Pipe, drainage, grading, trenching, or utility experience
- OSHA 10, hoisting license, CDL, or equipment experience is a plus but not required
