Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Foreman located in Durban. The Construction Foreman will oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensure quality control of projects, and manage the construction team to achieve project deadlines. Responsibilities also include supervision of carpentry work, usage of heavy equipment, coordination of tasks, and efficient communication with team members and stakeholders. The Foreman will enforce health and safety practices on-site and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Carpentry and working with heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering and Quality Control processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience in project management and team supervision
- Understanding of construction site safety and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and equipment
- Prior experience as a Foreman or in a similar leadership role is an advantage
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction, carpentry, or civil engineering are preferred
