Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bonapriso Douala for a Company Secretary at Tidevera Marine Services Ltd. The Company Secretary will manage corporate governance, maintain statutory records, prepare agendas and minutes for board meetings, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include liaising with regulatory authorities, managing correspondence, and supporting the leadership team in strategic planning and decision-making. The role requires a high level of confidentiality and organizational skills to support the company's operations efficiently.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal documentation
- Excellent organizational skills, proficiency in record-keeping, and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for drafting correspondence and coordinating with key stakeholders
- Proficient in using office software and tools to prepare reports, manage files, and facilitate communication
- Relevant educational background, such as a degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
- Prior experience in corporate secretarial duties, preferably within the maritime or a related industry
- Ability to work independently, manage confidential information, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of maritime industry operations is an asset but not required
