Commissioning Technician
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or related qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Engineering field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commissioning, testing, and maintenance within power generation or heavy industrial environments
- Proven experience in commissioning equipment, systems testing, fault finding, and shutdown support
- Experience working on Eskom power stations or large industrial outages will be advantageous
- Good knowledge of commissioning procedures, safety standards, and technical reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform commissioning and testing of plant equipment and systems
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and fault-finding activities
- Verify equipment performance and compliance with technical specifications
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, contractors, and outage teams
- Compile commissioning reports, test results, and close-out documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet outage deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
