Commis Chef Jobs in Camps Bay at Maritime Finance PTY Ltd
Key duties
- Preparing ingredients (washing, chopping, peeling, portioning)
- Assisting with cooking under supervision
- Setting up workstations before service
- Helping with basic dishes (sauces, salads, sides, starters)
- Plating food when required
- Keeping kitchen areas clean and organized
- Following food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Storing food correctly (labeling, dating, rotation of stock)
- Assisting senior chefs during busy service times
Skills required
- Basic cooking knowledge and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately
- Good knife skills (or willingness to develop them)
- Physical stamina (standing long hours, fast-paced environment)
- Teamwork and communication
- Attention to cleanliness and hygiene
Pay: R5 800,00 – R6 000,00 per month
