Duties
- Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify faults and implement repairs swiftly.
- Install new equipment or components, including assembly and calibration to meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service reports, work logs, and documentation of repairs performed for each customer site.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair status, preventative maintenance recommendations, and safety procedures.
- Drive a box truck or similar vehicle to various customer locations while adhering to safety standards and delivery protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair with a focus on commercial or industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience related to troubleshooting wiring issues and electrical components within laundry systems.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems, HVAC principles, or refrigeration is a plus.
- Customer service skills that foster positive relationships with clients while providing professional support.
- Previous field service or service technician experience working independently in diverse environments.
- Experience operating a box truck or similar delivery vehicle; delivery driver experience is advantageous.
