Position Summary:
Join our dynamic and growing team as a CDL Class A Regional Driver specializing in flatbed, heavy haul, and specialized freight transportation. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers across regional routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of oversized and overweight loads.
Your expertise in route planning, load securement, and commercial driving will play a vital role in maintaining efficiency across our supply chain while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Schedule:
- Must be willing to be on the road for three weeks at a time
- Primarly regional lanes
- Consistent home time based on operational needs
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate tractor-trailers (manual transmission experience preferred) across regional routes in full compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
Transport oversized and overweight freight using flatbed and specialized trailers
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and route details in accordance with federal and state regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transit
Assist with loading and unloading freight as needed using proper equipment (e.g., forklifts) or manual handling techniques
Properly secure and protect cargo using chains, binders, straps, and tarps
Demonstrate strong knowledge of load securement and proper weight distribution
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 21 years of age
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
Minimum 1 year of verifiable OTR experience
Minimum 1 year of verifiable heavy haul or flatbed experience
No DUI/DWI convictions
Current DOT physical certification
TWIC card preferred (not required)
Manual transmission experience preferred
Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
Strong communication skills for coordination with dispatch and customers
