Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level qualification.
• Proven supervisory or team leader experience is advantageous.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Capability to manage stock effectively, including shrinkage control and stock rotation.
• Ability to apply selling skills to meet customer needs and promote products.
• Commitment to maintaining hygiene, safety, and shop-keeping standards.
• Demonstrated leadership with the ability to motivate and coordinate team activities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as operational requirements demand.
• Competency in planning, organizing, and delegating tasks efficiently.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills with attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the hot foods team to ensure efficient production schedules are maintained and adjusted as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, addressing their needs, and applying effective selling techniques.
• Oversee stock management including controlling shrinkage, ensuring stock rotation, and maintaining visually appealing product displays.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and shop-keeping disciplines, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Coordinate daily activities, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor task completion within the hot foods department.
• Monitor waste and ensure prompt removal while identifying and reporting any acts of dishonesty or shrinkage.
• Conduct training and support for team members to promote skill development and operational excellence.
• Facilitate team meetings to communicate goals, review performance and implement improvement plans.
• Ensure accurate pricing and timely execution of price changes in accordance with company standards.
• Exemplify professional conduct through personal leadership, including attendance, dress code, and punctuality.
