Duties
- Operate pressing machines and equipment to smooth and shape garments efficiently and accurately
- Inspect clothing items for wrinkles, stains, or defects before pressing, ensuring only high-quality items are delivered
- Follow specific garment care instructions and safety protocols during pressing processes
- Handle customer garments with care, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Assist with basic laundry tasks such as folding, sorting, and preparing items for pressing or delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area to promote a safe working environment
- Support additional duties such as cashiering or cash handling when required, ensuring accurate transactions
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel laundry, dry cleaning, or garment pressing is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of customer service expectations
- Ability to operate pressing machines and related equipment safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions or measuring fabric care instructions
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure garments are pressed flawlessly
- Good communication skills for interacting professionally with team members and customers
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting garments or equipment
