MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Maintain medical equipment and provide technical support to users of medical equipment within the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Provide technical Support for the Hospital
- Perform requested technical jobs within the Hospital
- Identify and control risk in the technical environment within the Hospital
- Coordinate/manage work done by on-site contractors within the Hospital
- Perform office administration duties within the Technical Department
- Build and maintain stakeholder relations and client service within the Technical Department
Required Education
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
NQF 6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering: light current or clinical engineering
Desired Education
NQF 6 Diploma in Clinical Engineering
Essential Certification
Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
Desired Certification
Registration with CEASA
Required Experience
ESSENTIAL MININUM EXPERIENCE:
4-years’ Postgraduate Clinical Engineering experience within the healthcare industryDESIRED EXPERIENCE:
5-years’ Postgraduate Clinical Engineering experience within the healthcare industry
Required Job Skills And Knowledge
- Occupational Health Safety Act
- Infection control
- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Planned maintenance procedures (Medical equipment and X-ray)
- SAP and utilisation of SAP reports
- Financial principles (cost-effective maintenance)
- Mediclinic Policies and Procedures (e.g. utilisation of test equipment)
