About the Role:
The Clinical Scientist in the Digital Health Sciences team will provide scientific consultation to internal and external stakeholders on the use of eCOA and other digital health technologies, including eConsent and sensors and wearables, in clinical trials. The Clinical Scientist will review clinical study protocols from prospective and current customers to identify scientific and technological requirements of the clinical trial and provide advice on solution design and development. The Clinical Scientist will support pre-sales, capabilities, bid defense, requirement gathering, and design meetings. Additionally, the Clinical Scientist will provide scientific input to product development to ensure that new capabilities address the scientific requirements of future implementations, and work on marketing initiatives. The Clinical Scientist will provide consultation services through special client or internal projects and research initiatives.
What you will do:
- Support the commercial team by analysing study protocols and other relevant study documents, documenting study requirements and presenting scientific content in client meetings.
- Advise technical, operations, and client teams on the development of eCOA solutions to ensuring the solution design meets the clinical trial objectives.
- Provide consultation services in the form of special projects on client-specific scientific requests or external initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the most recent industry best practices and regulatory requirements for clinical outcome assessments (COA).
- Stay on the leading edge of eCOA and digital health technologies through participation in industry forums and working groups, and through collaboration with clients, Key Opinion Leaders.
- Develop thought leadership materials and relevant scientific and research content to demonstrate the company’s scientific expertise internally and externally.
- Present and promote Signant Health in the industry, including active participation in industry forums, conferences, presentations, webinars and publications on selected topics.
- Manage time across multiple concurrent projects.
- Develop training and marketing materials.
- Other responsibilities will be assigned as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD preferable) in biological science or healthcare.
- 1-3 years’ experience in clinical trial technology or related industry, preferably in client-facing role.
- In-depth understanding of clinical research and the drug development cycleKnowledge of clinical outcome assessments (COA) and related science and/or eConsent, EDC, sensors/wearables Proven ability to multitasking, time management and task-oriented performance; able to work in a fast-paced environmentBusiness driven and business growth savvy Familiar with the bridge between technology and science in digital health technologies for clinical trials Proven ability to be an effective, positive team player who can work across teams and in a matrix environment.Ability to develop expertise in new fields through research and networkingExcellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience in commercial pre-award activities, such as capabilities and bid-defence meetings, and/or solution design and requirement gathering.
- Experience in the development and use of ePRO or eCOA solutions for clinical trials.
- Can easily communicate with clients and all levels within the organization.
