Clinvet SA is widely regarded as one of the leading animal health CRO’s globally. We are recruiting for a Cleaner: Arthropod and Helminth Colonies (Entry Level position) within our Arthropod and Helminth Colonies Department at Clinvet South Africa at our Bloemfontein site.

Primary Job Purpose

To maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene tasks.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning of the facility and equipment to achieve and maintain a clean, orderly and audit ready facility at all times.
• Handling and cleaning laundry to ensure cleanliness of animal bedding, clothing and other materials.
• Cleaning of animal housing and equipment to maintain and optimise animal health and wellbeing.
• Interact and handle animals to ensure content, well-adjusted and cared for animals.
• Provide food and water for all animals.
• Handling and storage of chemicals and laboratory consumables.
• Handling and disposing of waste materials to comply with health and environmental regulations.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Grade 12, and
• At least 6 months’ experience in a similar role
• Driver’s License
