Job Description:
Saladino Property Maintenance is seeking an experienced Civil & Landscape Construction Foreman / Equipment Operator to join our growing team. This position requires a motivated leader who can manage and work alongside a 2–5 person crew performing underground utility installation, concrete sidewalk, landscape construction, and finish grading projects. This role is primarily local, but occasional travel throughout New England may be required depending on project needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a 2–5 person construction crew
- Perform and oversee underground utility / sitework / landscape installation
- Execute landscape construction and finish grading work
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.)
- Read plans, set grades and perform jobsite layout
- Use Trimble or similar GPS/layout systems (training avaialable)
- Coordinate daily jobsite operations and maintain productivity
- Ensure safety standards and quality workmanship
- Manage projects and communicate with management when needed
- Conduct daily safety talks
- Winter snow removal
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil or landscape construction
- Experience running projects and managing crews
- Proficiency operating excavators and skid steers
- Experience with construction layout and Trimble systems
- Knowledge of A.D.A requirements such as level landings, cross pitch and slope requirements
- Ability to estimate materials needed on a daily basis
- Massachusetts Hoisting License required
- Rhode Island Hoisting License preferred
- CDL preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation package varies depending on experience and selected benefits package. Potential benefits include:
