Role Description
This is a full-time contract role for a Civil Drafter, based in Giza, Egypt. The Civil Drafter will produce detailed technical drawings for civil site and land development projects. Day to day work includes preparing site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility layouts, paving and dimensioning plans, and stormwater and detention pond exhibits. You will create and modify CAD drawings, work with our engineers to turn design concepts into clear construction documents, and keep project documentation organized and up to date. This role is focused on civil site and land development drafting, not structural detailing.
Qualifications
- Experience drafting civil site and land development plans, including site, grading, drainage, utility, and paving plans
- Strong skills with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to read civil engineering design concepts and translate them into accurate construction drawings
- Attention to detail in dimensions, callouts, and plan accuracy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers and project teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
- Familiarity with US and international engineering and drafting standards is a plus
Note: this position is for civil site and land development drafting. Structural drafting experience on its own is not a fit for this role.
