Heroserv is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring financial performance, and leading the organisation towards sustainable growth.
Job Overview
The COO will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all operational functions to ensure efficiency, profitability, and alignment with the organisation’s long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to develop and implement business strategies.
- Translate strategic objectives into operational plans with measurable outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Monitor organisational performance and adjust strategies where necessary.
Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high service standards.
- Identify and address operational gaps with corrective interventions.
Financial Oversight & Performance Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
- Monitor financial performance to ensure sustainability and growth.
- Analyse reports to support informed operational decision-making.
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Oversee risk management strategies and internal controls.
- Ensure audit readiness and governance adherence.
Procurement & Resource Management
- Manage procurement strategies and supplier performance.
- Oversee allocation of resources for optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR on workforce planning and performance management.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Report operational performance to the CEO and Board.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation in high-level engagements.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven senior leadership experience in operations or executive roles.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning experience.
- Ability to lead multi-departmental teams and drive performance.
- Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
