About the Role

CT International, a well-established and diversified group with over 35 years of industry presence, is seeking a commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner directly with the CEO and executive team.

Operating across Trade Finance, Property, Hospitality, Agriculture, and Leisure, the group offers a dynamic, multi-entity environment with significant scope for strategic and commercial impact.

This is a high-impact role for a finance executive who wants to go beyond traditional reporting, with direct involvement in capital allocation, investment strategy, and key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead group financial management, including consolidations and monthly reporting across multiple entities
  • Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Strategic & Commercial Support

  • Support capital allocation and investment decisions through financial modelling and analysis
  • Provide insights to drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic initiatives

Risk & Governance

  • Identify and manage financial risks, including currency exposure and market volatility
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and compliance standards

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as key financial liaison to the CEO, board, auditors, and external stakeholders
  • Support funding, trade finance, and credit-related processes

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and optimisation of finance processes
  • Build a modern, data-driven finance function

Requirements

  • CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (CA(SA) preferred)
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven experience in a CFO, Head of Finance, or equivalent executive-level role within a multi-entity environment
  • This role requires demonstrated experience operating at the executive level, managing complexity, and influencing strategic decision-making
  • 8–15 years’ experience in senior finance roles
  • Strong financial reporting, consolidations, and systems experience
  • Exposure to trade finance, financial services, or property is advantageous
