Job description
A Manufacturing Technology-based organization with 50+ full-time employees working across the US is seeking a R&D Technician to work out of the laboratory in Ewing NJ. This position is responsible for assisting laboratory activities necessary for the success of the organization while ensuring to meet all safety protocols for one of the fastest growing manufacturers of specialty chemicals in the world.
JOB PURPOSE
Assisting in activities of the laboratory to facilitate the production of material and the growth of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help to formulate a variety of resin-based products
- Prepare samples to conduct tests using lab equipment and tools.
- Create test set-ups with and without supervision.
- Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings
- Collect and record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Utilization of all equipment in a safe manner, resulting in zero lost time injuries to self and others.
- Adhere to the timelines for projects as defined in the project design or as directed by the Technology Director of the organization.
- Being punctual in arrival to work and reliable in attendance to include no tardiness and no more than five unplanned days from work per calendar year.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- An ability to work while wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure risks associated with the job duties.
- Capable of lifting items up to 65 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods of time

- Experience in lab environment
- Currently majoring in Science Degree
