Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong route driving skills and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmissions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tankers.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo information.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, and tankers is preferred.
- Strong understanding of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety on the road.
