Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable CDL Class A Tractor-Trailer Driver to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods across different routes or regions, e.g., local, regional, over-the-road. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a commercial tractor-trailer combination safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport goods to and from designated locations according to established schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and cargo to ensure safety and identify any necessary maintenance.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, fuel efficiency, and customer service.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo if needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience operating tractor-trailers.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Specific equipment experience required, e.g., reefer, dry van load management.
- Over the Road driving experience required managing overnight parking, etc .
