We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on Catering Manager who’s ready to shake things up in a hospital/ healthcare environment. If you’re a go-getter who thinks beyond the plate and thrives on creating exceptional food experiences—even in a clinical setting—this role is for you.
There are 2 positions: one in Stellenbosch area, and the other Kommetjie area.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and inspire a busy catering team, payroll, rostering, mentoring
- Oversee daily food service operations with a focus on quality, safety, and consistency
- Run a vibrant on-site coffee shop – from barista-level detail to customer experience
- Plan and execute functions and events that go beyond expectations
- Bring fresh, innovative ideas to menus, service, and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and regulations
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a hospital or healthcare catering environment (non-negotiable)
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry
- Strong operational and people management skills
- Strong admin skills, POS experience and excel
- Experience running a coffee shop or café-style offering
- A creative, “out-the-box” thinker with a passion for food and service
- Energetic, proactive, and solution-driven
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Must live in area
- Must have own car
