Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter/Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for building and remodeling. This role involves working on various construction projects, including residential and commercial properties, where you will apply your carpentry skills and collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform frame carpentry tasks, including the installation of walls, roofs, and other structural components.
- Execute metal stud framing for interior walls and partitions as required by project specifications.
- Assist in remodeling projects by removing existing structures and installing new materials while adhering to safety protocols.
- Work with drywall installation, plastering, and finishing techniques to achieve a polished look in completed spaces.
- Conduct masonry work as needed for foundations, walls, or decorative elements.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or labor-intensive roles within the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices is essential.
- Knowledge of various carpentry techniques, including plumb measurements and framing methods.
- Experience with drywall installation, plastering, masonry, and other related skills is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed throughout the workday.
