Carpenter Jobs in Nashua, NH at Turn Cycle Solutions

About Turn Cycle Solutions (TCS)

Turn Cycle Solutions is a growing construction company specializing in general contracting and energy efficiency projects for both residential and commercial clients. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality craftsmanship, maintaining exceptionally clean and homeowner-friendly job sites, and fostering a collaborative, supportive team environment. We are currently seeking a dependable, highly skilled Carpenter to join our crew.

Position Overview

As a Lead Carpenter at TCS, you will work alongside a tight-knit team to execute and oversee diverse construction projects. This role requires a blend of hands-on mastery—spanning framing, exterior work, and fine interior finishes—and field leadership. You will be responsible for running job sites, managing manpower (employees and subcontractors), communicating daily with the office, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Carpentry & Execution

  • Framing & Structural: Read and build directly from architectural plans. Lead framing layouts for additions, garages, decks, and structural remodels.
  • Exterior Work: Install all forms of siding (wood, vinyl, cedar) and execute exterior rot replacement. Competently and safely work off ladders.
  • Interior Finishes: Complete high-end interior finish work, including trim/baseboards, window and door installations, tile flooring, and light drywall hanging, taping, and patching.
  • Site Prep & Maintenance: Handle on-site preparation prior to installations (e.g., setting up zip walls and ram board). Maintain clean, organized, and homeowner-friendly job sites, concluding every day with thorough dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming.
  • General Flexibility: Participate in demolition, rough-in coordination, and various on-site tasks as needed—be flexible!

Site Management & Leadership (Daily)

  • Manpower Coordination: Run the job site in tandem with the Production Manager, directing the daily execution of tasks for TCS employees and subcontractors.
  • Material Logistics: Determine daily/weekly material needs and provide lists to the Production Manager. Coordinate returns directly with the lumber yard or office staff, keeping material runs to an absolute minimum.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure subcontractors and homeowners organize dumpsters efficiently rather than filling them hastily.
  • Inspections: Meet with local building inspectors on-site during various stages of the construction process.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for additional work while on-site (within or outside the current project scope) and collaborate with management to produce necessary change orders.

Communication, Tech, & Admin

  • Daily Logs: Complete a daily job log for each active project via our construction management software (JobTread/CoConstruct), including a minimum of 4 progress photos per site.
  • Time Tracking: Punctually clock in and out daily using our designated mobile app.
  • Weekly Strategy: Review all work scopes and upcoming schedules with the Project Manager every week. Fulfill all paperwork, email weekly project photos to the office, and submit all project-associated receipts.
  • Relationships: Establish harmonious working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and office staff to facilitate quick, professional conflict resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of carpentry experience (Journeyman or Master level preferred).
  • Licensing: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Professionalism: Punctual arrival and departure from sites, a tidy appearance, and a commitment to wearing TCS-branded apparel at all times.
  • Communication: Ability to understand, execute, and pass down complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Personal Tool Collection: Must maintain a complete personal hand and power tool collection, including but not limited to:
  • Hand Tools: Hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, utility knives, screw tips, etc.
  • Power Tools: Corded or battery-operated skill saw, sawzall, drill, impact driver, and multi-tool. (If corded, you must provide proper extension cords; if battery-operated, you must provide a charger and at least two batteries per tool).
